IELTS Speaking Part 2: An Event or Experience
In IELTS Speaking Part 2, describing an event or experience is a common task. Prepare to narrate a story for 1-2 minutes, covering all aspects of the cue card.
Sample Questions for 'An Event or Experience'
- Describe an event that you remember well. You should say: What the event was, Where and when it happened, Who was involved, And explain why you remember it so well.
- Talk about a special celebration you attended. You should say: What the celebration was, Where it was held, What activities were involved, And explain why it was special to you.
- Describe an experience that made you feel proud. You should say: What the experience was, How you felt during the experience, What made you proud, And explain how it changed you.

Tips for Answering
- Use storytelling techniques: set the scene, build up to the main event, and conclude.
